Session Preps

Here’s a handy Session Preparation Checklist

Scheduling: For newborns its best to schedule right after their bath, during their long nap. For other older babies, let’s aim for your babies happy time. Avoid changing baby’s routine on the day of the shoot.

Sleep(older babies): Make sure your baby completed their nap. A well rested baby is a happy baby.

Full Belly: It is important to make sure your baby has had a nice hearty meal and has a full belly. This will ensure your baby is happy as can be for their session.

What to Wear: I’m happy to offer some simple suggestions to ensure your family photograph beautifully, Click here.

What to Bring: Photoshoots take a lot of energy out of little ones. Please bring some snacks and something to drink. If siblings are coming, bring some entertainment for them.

What to Expect: While I have a specific workflow, it almost always is tweaked to cater to your babies’ moods. If you want to help assist getting the baby’s attention, please stand right beside me at my level. Otherwise your baby will be looking off in different directions.

Avoid any hustling on the session day, as children build on parents’ stress. Ensure you pack everything one day before. On the day of the session, I’d like you to be fully present and bond with your child.. as I myself would like to too, to get the best out of your investment. So new requests will not be entertained after the consult call.

I’d like you to have a good experience, to relive when you look back at the pictures in future.

I’ve been photographing babies for well over 8 years and I can absolutely help guide you with any questions you have in regards to what to expect at your session, what to wear, etc…

Do list all your questions, so we can discuss during the consult call.
